Future Road Builders Virtual Pre-Apprenticeship Experience
Future Road Builders is a virtual pre-apprenticeship experience created by the Constructors Association of Western Pennsylvania (CAWP). This free app explores each phase of a virtual highway construction project and uncovers the skills needed to be a heavy and highway construction professional. Through games, videos, imagery and assessment tools, players will gain a deeper understanding of the highway construction industry. Experience playing the game provides real insights into just what it means to be a construction professional.
The ACE Mentor Program is open to any high school student who has the curiosity and drive to learn about a career in design and construction — from contracting and engineering to architecture and landscaping. As a participant, you’ll join a team of other students led by adult mentors who are practicing industry professionals.
